Who we are
Silvia
I am a psychotherapist, working in private practice and in residential addiction treatment where I facilitate family therapy. I have worked with those in addiction, and their loved ones for many years in various settings. I care deeply about the work which has allowed me, over the years, to witness remarkable healing for both the one suffering addiction, and the family member or loved one.
James
As well as working with the families and loved ones of those in addiction, I work for a charity supporting people in addiction and problematic substance use. I am trained and experienced in conflict resolution, counselling, restorative justice and coaching.
Why we created the Respire Programme
We created the Respire Programme to help anyone who cares for, and is affected by someone in active addiction, or in recovery.
‘Respire’ means to recover hope, courage, and strength after a time of difficulty.
We understand everyone is unique and that there is no one answer. The Respire Programme is an active, practical, compassionate, and personal approach for you to learn the skills required to manage your life, when a loved one is in addiction.
